A Bible guessing game
“Ask … seek … and you will find.” – Matthew 7:7
Hold the phone to your forehead, screen facing the others, without looking. Find out who or what is on it by asking yes-or-no questions. Everyone answers: Yes, No, Partly or Not sure.
The next player in the list is your Helper. They say the category (“You are a place”) and tap + Question after each question – a wrong guess counts as a question too. When a hint appears on the screen, the Helper reads it aloud.
3 questions → Hint 1 → 3 questions → Hint 2 → 3 questions → last guess. A right guess scores 3 before Hint 1, 2 after Hint 1 and 1 after Hint 2.
Hint level (chosen at the start): Easy – the card’s Hint 1 and Hint 2. Medium – a broad clue first, then the card’s Hint 1. Hard – only the broad clue; the card’s Hint 1 comes at the last guess. Points work the same at every level.
Nod down when the table says you got it: Found!
Tilt your head back to ask for the next hint: Hint, please!
Every action is also a button. Pass is always a button. You'll hear a sound for each question, hint and find.
Nearly! – a guess that is part of the answer is free. Also names on the screen count too. Saw the screen or nobody knows the card? Use ⋯ → Swap card before the first question.
Score – most points wins; play as players or as two teams that take turns. Seek Together – one team, 10 cards, hints are free; score = found cards + stars (found before Hint 1). Relaxed – no counting, hints whenever you like. Young players – one-dot cards and Hint 1 at the start.
Each player’s Helper is the next one in the list – and plays next.
Tip: turn the phone sideways when you play. On iPhone, allow “Motion & Orientation” when asked.
Hold the phone to your forehead, sideways, screen out.
Don’t look!
Setting the tilt to where your head is now.
For pilot testers. One person wears the phone and nods; an observer counts. Do 20 nods down and 20 tilts back, then note the numbers (see the Pilot Test Plan).
The answer is easier to read across the table.
